CCJ would like to welcome Staci Shugar as the new Executive Director for the Center for Creative Justice. Staci comes to the CCJ with a wealth of experience and knowledge in social services and criminal justice with a background in corrections, law enforcement, education, and mental health service coordination. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Buena Vista University, her Peace Officer Certification from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, and her Masters of Criminal Justice from Boston University. Early in her career, Staci spent time working in public service and was employed with various public safety entities throughout the state. She then spent time developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of criminal justice students during her time teaching at Hamilton College, Kaplan University, Grand View University, and DMACC. Staci is passionate about helping others develop and grow through encouragement and advocacy.
