Ames Chamber
We collaborate with the Ames Chamber staff to provide resource information to share with our clients about a workforce retraining program.

A Mid-Iowa Organizing Strategy (AMOS)
We participated in a house meeting to discuss barriers and challenges to employment. AMOS provided resource information about Project IOWA to share with our clients.

We are a member of a coalition of organizations working to end human trafficking in Iowa.

Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC)
We participate in the Boone, Dallas, and Story County partnerships working to improve child welfare processes, practices, and policies.

Criminal Justice program staff at Des Moines Area Community College

Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART)
We are a participant in DART and meet monthly with other local criminal justice agencies to communicate in an effort to provide increased support for survivors of domestic abuse.

Iowa State University
We work with program staff from multiple departments to provide opportunities for students/future professionals (speaking events, tours, volunteer opportunities, work-study opportunities, internships). We also participate in the Non-Profit Protégé Program and the Ivy College of Business MBA Service-Learning Project to provide opportunities for students.

Mental Health Criminal Justice Task Force
Purpose: The purpose of the Task Force is to improve the system-wide response to serve mentally ill and co-occurring individuals. The task force is composed of individuals from across mental health, law enforcement and other community organizations. Vision: The vision of the Task Force is to bring about increased awareness and recognition of the mentally ill to ensure people receive the services they need, to provide better transitions and ensure compliance with case plans, and to address crisis situations more effectively and efficiently.

Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking and Slavery (NAHT)
The Network Against Human Trafficking is an Iowa-based organization focused on ending demand for sex and labor trafficking, through awareness-raising, prevention education, and working with organizations and communities to create trafficking-free zones across Iowa and beyond. Mission: To coordinate Iowa’s solution to end human trafficking and slavery through coalition building, raising awareness, and promoting education and advocacy. To end human trafficking in all its forms through providing a platform for collaboration between state and local agencies, advocating for effective investigation, rescue, and prosecution, leading and coordinating public policy and legislative efforts, strengthening collaboration between regional groups, nonprofits, law enforcement, faith communities, and community service providers, raising awareness and promoting education and training, and advocating for expansion of survivor services and best practice.

Second Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Ames Advisory Committee
CCJ’s Executive Director serves on the Ames Advisory Committee for the Ames Probation/Parole Area Office.

Second Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Board of Directors
CCJ’s Executive Director serves as the Ames Advisory Committee delegate for the Board of Directors.

Second Judicial District Mental Health Court Planning Committee
Participating in assisting in the planning of a Mental Health Court for the Second Judicial District to improve the response to those with mental illness.

Story County College Access Network (SCCAN)
Vision: Story County College Access Network (SCCAN) will provide awareness and coordination among existing resources, identify gaps, and develop solutions that will better prepare individuals for post-secondary educational opportunities and ultimately, careers. Mission: SCCAN is a multi-sector collaborative network that engages individuals, guardians, and partners to improve outcomes for career readiness and post-secondary opportunities through systemic awareness and engagement.
