A Mid-Iowa Organizing Strategy (AMOS)

Central Iowa Service Network Against Human Trafficking
We are a member of a coalition of organizations working to end human trafficking in Iowa.

Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC)
We participate in this partnership to connect with agencies responsible for coordinating services for the protection of children throughout Boone, Dallas, and Story counties.

We work with this committee to provide support for Central Iowa Community ID drives.

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC)
We maintain connections with Criminal Justice program faculty and staff at DMACC to support future criminal justice professionals.

Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART)
We attend monthly meetings with other local criminal justice agencies to provide increased support for survivors of domestic abuse.
Early Treatment Partnership
We participated in this partnership to develop outreach materials and resources with a pro-treatment message to promote the benefits of the early identification, intervention, and treatment of substance use disorders.
Human Trafficking Response Team
We collaborate with community partners to provide opportunities for education, awareness, and prevention to the public.
Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking (IBAT)
We are proud members of Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking and are committed to Learn Something + Do Something to Make a Difference to raise awareness and help prevent human trafficking.

Iowa State University
We work with program faculty, staff, and students from multiple departments to provide opportunities for students/future professionals. Specific activities include the ISU Pay It Forward Day of Service, the Non-Profit Protégé Program, and the Ivy College of Business MBA Service-Learning Project. Additional opportunities include speaking events, tours, volunteer opportunities, work-study opportunities, and internships.

Iowa Veterans Employer Coalition (IVEC)
We participated in this coalition to collaborate with other employers to increase awareness about the hiring and retainment of veterans and transitioning service members and their families. Mental Health Criminal Justice Task Force
We participate in quarterly meetings with community mental health agencies, local law enforcement, and other community organizations to improve the system-wide response to services that support individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
Network Against Human Trafficking and Slavery (NAHT)
We maintain connections with this network to support survivors of human trafficking and slavery and to provide opportunities for education, awareness, and prevention to the public.

We support this event that assists with landfill diversion by offering a community sale of second-hand furniture and household goods to keep reusable items out of the waste stream.

Second Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Ames Advisory Committee
Prior to the realignment of the Iowa Department of Correctional Services with the Iowa Department of Corrections, CCJ’s Executive Director served on the Ames Advisory Committee for the Ames Probation/Parole Area Office.
Second Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Board of Directors
Prior to the realignment of the Iowa Department of Correctional Services with the Iowa Department of Corrections, CCJ’s Executive Director served as the Ames Advisory Committee delegate for the Board of Directors.
Second Judicial District Mental Health Court Planning Committee
We attended meetings to assist in the planning of a Mental Health Court for the Second Judicial District to improve the response to those with mental illness.
Story County College Access Network (SCCAN)
We worked with a multi-sector collaborative network to engage individuals, guardians, and community partners to improve outcomes for career readiness and post-secondary opportunities through awareness building, resource coordination, and community engagement.
Story County Prevention Policy Board (SCPPB)
