The Center for Creative Justice (CCJ) is a community based, non-profit agency providing correctional supervision to adult criminal offenders placed on probation by the local judiciary. CCJ has been an integral part of the Ames Community since 1974. CCJ supervises about 70% of the community members placed on probation in Story County.
Donate Online
As a community nonprofit organization, CCJ’s funding is derived from several sources. First, clients are asked to contribute based on a sliding fee scale. We also receive funds through the Story County Analysis of Social Services Evaluation Team (ASSET). In addition, CCJ receives donations from generous community members to further help us meet budgetary needs.
Please consider donating to CCJ so we may continue to provide vital services to our community. CCJ is a non-profit organization registered in Iowa and exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. CCJ will provide an IRS acknowledgement letter to all donors. All donations are tax-deductible. Donate online using the form below.

Donate to the Endowment
Donations to the CCJ Agency and Endowment Funds can be made through the Story County Community Foundation. Gifts to qualified SCCF endowed funds are eligible for Endow Iowa Tax Credits (EITC). Taxpayers may take a 25% Iowa tax credit in addition to the normal federal income tax deductions for charitable gifts up to $300,000 per taxpayer per year. Additional information is available from Story County Community Foundation by phone at 515-232-9200 or email at storycounty@storycountyfoundation.org.
A gift to CCJ’s fund helps to support CCJ today, tomorrow, and into the future.
Volunteer Support
Volunteers are always welcome to assist with various projects at CCJ. In addition, a volunteer Board of Directors is actively responsible for ensuring the mission and purpose of CCJ are carried out effectively and efficiently. Director vacancies are filled by election at regular meetings of the Board of Directors. Donating one’s time and talents by volunteering with CCJ is always appreciated.
