In addition to donating directly to CCJ, donations can be made as gifts to CCJ through the Story County Community Foundation (SCCF). We would encourage you to also consider making a lasting contribution with a legacy gift to CCJ.
CCJ has two funds with SCCF, an Agency Fund and an Endowment Fund:
- Donations to the CCJ Agency Fund are invested for growth and are accessible to CCJ at any time.
- Donations contributed to the CCJ Endowment Fund are also invested for growth; however, CCJ is limited to accessing five percent of the funds each year.
Donations to qualified SCCF endowed funds are eligible for the Endow Iowa Tax Credits (EITC). Taxpayers may claim a 25% Iowa tax credit in addition to the normal federal income tax deductions for charitable gifts up to $300,000 per taxpayer per year.
